Overview:
Rex is overall an easy going dog who minds his own business unless spoken to first. He prefers to stick around friends as he has bad experience with bigger groups, and therefore values loyalty highly. Despite it, he adapts easily to new situations, and simply sticks to his preferences.
Once he knows someone, he is a talkative and witty dog who likes to make whimsical retorts. Some find him odd, but overall it is simply to ease up the tension.
Due to his complexes, he can be a tad stubborn and like to take the lead. Learning that by standing up for himself, others are less likely to go after him first. To some degree, it is a childish behaviour, as he is not emotionally mature enough, and acts by pettiness, by sometimes agitating others.

History
Origins

Born and bred in outskirts of Ireland, to a gsd and border collie. He was supposed to have the agility of a border collie, but also the strength of a gsd.
During Christmas, the farmer’s daughter who went to work in archeological fields abroad decided to come back for the holidays.
This was the first time she had met Rex, who at the time was called patches due to his coat. However, after the daughter saw him, she said that his name should be Rex, due to his cartoon-dinosaur like spots. They agreed, and Rex was renamed.
The holidays came and went, but clearly the two got highly attached. The family ever offered Rex to her as a gift, which she had to decline due to working in the field. Which made it hard to watch over a high drive dog. Sad about it, she discussed the situation with her coworker during a phone call, to which they responded that if Rex qualified, he could get a license to work in her field as a detection dog. Intrigued, she decided to talk of it with her family, to which they were not opposed, however it would take time to train him, which she was unsure how could be done…
Training
The training took almost two whole years, along with the work that had to be done with transport. Eventually, the task was done and requirements met.
Due to work, some of the weeks, he barely met his owner. This made him snarky, and often bullied by the other dogs under training.
The first expeditions were rather boring, as he was still a beginner in the field, working along side a professional. During this time, he learned the most.
Expedition in Ø.s.t.e.r.l.e.v
He does not know why, but they moved their research to a town called Østerlev.
